Describe your internship in one sentence.
My internship consisted of having to integrate myself into the company's culture and knowing how to ask the right questions.
What does your day-to-day look like?
I always started my day by looking at my note pad and seeing if there were any tasks that were outstanding from the day before. After I completed all those tasks, I would check in with my associate and ask her if she had any new tasks I could start on. Some days, I would attend meetings with a senior manager or partner.
What is your favorite part of the company culture?
My favorite part of the PwC's culture is that they really emphasis diversity within the workplace. Throughout the course of my internship, I was able to meet a wide range of people from different cultural backgrounds. This allowed me to improve on my intercultural competence.
How has Delta Sigma Pi prepared you for your internship?
Delta Sigma Pi provided an opportunity for me to improve on my soft skills such as self-confidence and good communication. These two skills allowed me to have a smooth transition into the company's culture as an intern.
What is the most valuable takeaway you’ve gained from your internship?
The most valuable takeaway I've gained from this internship is that culture starts at the top. I was assigned to a lot of different tasks because my partner and senior manager were really invested in providing a well-rounded internship experience for me.
